Our preferred type of jewelry (aka Biker, Gothic or Rock style) originated from old school churches. Below is a photo of bleached skulls, decorated with Old English lettering, Cross motifs and Crowns, at Beinhaus (bone house) in Hallstatt - Austria.

Clean, classic looking Lion, Skull and Crown motifs. The lion pendants really caught our attention, especially the lion with a gold crown and clear stone in it's mouth. View the entire collection now at LION HEART.

A simple, wide band ring, with a message engraved on it, can say a lot, especially for the wearer. It can also make a nice conversation piece. Some of the most treasured jewelry items are not kept for their monetary value but for their meaning, sentimental attachment or as a piece of history, to the owners.
Mr SNR marvels where people get the idea that jewelry is only for women. Signet rings have been worn by men throughout history. Championship rings are highly sought after by professional athletes. Once upon a time, warriors decorated their armor and weapons with precious metals and engravings. Rulers of nations wore crowns made of gold and gemstones. Priests wore highly crafted, and gem set, gold breast plates.

What about a watch, Mr SNR? For the most part, a wrist watch is not a jewelry piece, it's just standard apparel for everyone in the work force. Once a man reaches a certain level of monetary success, what does he usually get for himself? Here are some examples: A "more" expensive watch; a fancy car (or two or three); membership to a country club; a custom boat or motorcycle; a "better" lighter or pen, etc. More tattoos, guns, knives or even wives... just kidding. One wifey at a time because that's the law of the land, so abide with it.
So what do the kids sometimes fight over upon his death? Large bank account, real estate and JEWELRY. Why not pass on an heirloom with meaning, such as a quote, message or Bible verse engraved on a ring, pendant or bracelet? Wear a jewelry piece, with a statement, to exercise your Freedom of speech. When that four letter "f" word on your ring doesn't mean a whole lot to you anymore, you can always get a new ring with a new message. However, if you tattoo a message on your body, it will be a lot more troublesome to replace it down the road!
Ring story recently makes headlines
An individual returns four rings, stolen from a house party, 15 years after the incident, along with an apology letter. The rings had sentimental value, including a wedding band and a diamond ring celebrating the birth of a child, as well as, a set of grandparents' wedding bands. Below is a photo of the letter.
