Atelier Shima Silver Conchos

Atelier Shima is a Japanese jewelry brand founded in 2005 by designer, Shima. Shima's journey into jewelry design began in the late 1990s, during the golden age of silver accessories. This was a time when overseas jewelry brands like Chrome Hearts were gaining popularity in Asia and silver accessories were becoming established in Japanese street fashion. This wave of popularity inspired many domestic brands to enter the market, leading to a surge in the number of creators producing intricate and complex accessory designs.

However, the competition for creating unique designs proved to be a double-edged sword, as it led to an overwhelming number of designs that became difficult for general users to distinguish. As a result, the market eventually declined from the fashion scene, leading to a decline in interest from the general public.

Despite this setback, silver accessories remained an important fashion staple for those who loved rock and motorcycles, tattoos, and other related genres. It was during this time that Shima began honing his skills and developing his own unique style, drawing inspiration from his experiences, the people he met, and the things he learned. Using his knowledge and experience, Shima founded Atelier Shima in 2005 with the aim of creating original silver accessories for those who sought the real thing. The brand quickly gained popularity among those who appreciated the finer details of handmade jewelry, and Shima's reputation as a skilled craftsman began to spread.

Today, Atelier Shima's accessories are known for their intricate designs and impeccable craftsmanship, making them highly sought after by fashion enthusiasts and collectors alike. Each piece is crafted with care and attention to detail, ensuring that every customer receives a one-of-a-kind accessory that is both timeless and unique. The brand is a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication to craft. Despite the challenges faced by the silver accessory market, Shima was able to create a brand that stands out for its quality and originality.
